Anoka is home
Ahadu Legesse has deep roots in Anoka, Minnesota. He graduated from Anoka High School in 1992, studied just down the road at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids, and has built his life and career around the northern Twin Cities suburbs ever since. While his employers have been in Minneapolis, Fridley and Minnetonka, Anoka is where he lives.
Anoka sits where the Rum River meets the Mississippi, about 20 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis, and serves as the county seat of Anoka County. It is close enough to the metro’s major employers for a practical commute, and small enough that the same faces turn up at the golf course, the park and the local restaurants.
Anoka County and his career
Anoka County has been part of Ahadu’s professional story too. From 2012 to 2020 he managed operational excellence projects at Medtronic in Fridley, a major Anoka County employer. Before and after that he worked for Target and U.S. Bank in Minneapolis and UnitedHealth Group in Minnetonka — all within reach of Anoka. His Twin Cities career page maps those workplaces.
Where you might see him around town
Outside work, Ahadu plays recreational golf at Green Haven Golf Course during Minnesota’s warmer months, plays tennis at George Enloe Park, and walks or cycles the Rum River Regional Trail. He supports local businesses throughout Anoka County and values the friendships and professional relationships he has kept here for decades. More on his community and interests.
Connecting with local professionals
Ahadu is interested in professional development and networking events across Anoka County and the north metro, and in mentoring people who want to move into project coordination or project management. If you are an Anoka-area professional, student or business owner with a question about managing projects, send him a message.
